AJ Ellison showed a passion for fitness early in life as he made a name for himself as a formidable middle distance runner during his high school years becoming a champion in several events. He since has taken full advantage of his sporting beginnings training in martial arts, becoming a well-renowned fitness model in the WBFF and IFBB, building a prominent training business, and continuing to grow his gym - Iron Empire.
AJ is also a dedicated father and husband that alongside his wife, Nicci, works to improve the lives of others through fitness.

This year I opted to compete in 4 shows (in 6 months) beginning my preparation the day my son, Courage was born. Balancing being a dad, husband and business owner life can get super hectic. I want to show my clients and my followers that when you want something bad enough, you'll fit it into your hectic schedule by any means necessary. I also want to show that even with many obligations and responsibilities I can still compete at a high level. Time management (and of course the drive) is key to reaching levels most can only fathom.
